Subject: Host a discussion??

First of all, Mr. Blow, I want to commend you for publishing your email address - that is the first step toward problem solving -- and it is completely obvious that we need some problem solvers. Journalists normally operate as problem identifiers -- expecting others to handle the solving activity; however, we must acknowledge that the problem solvers are not available right now.

This, of course means that the voter must get involved in the process -- and the voter needs education, and that education must come from you and your associates. You must lead the way, you must convert from talking TO the voter to talking WITH the voter -- just like the college Lecture vs. Seminar experience.

Ultimately, we need a more formalized process that I will detail at a later date; however, we can start with a modified comment system that would allow users to communicate with other users as well as the lead journalist (your self). Obviously, the Seminar experience allows the use of paid assistance, lightning the load on the lead journalist.

We need to educate the voters about problem solving so that they can choose proper problem solving representation -- if we ever hope to work ourselves out of the present malaise.

BTW, I am copying Paul Krugman (actual email address unknown) as he needs to concentrate on validating his economic philosophy thru the organized "Peer review" process (assuming he really wants to help solve a major problem). Please forward a copy of this post to him.

Thanks for your attention.

To be continued (of course)

Doug Skoglund

I don't provide for comments since that is a system designed to control the communication process -- I do provide an e-mail address!! (Please put a [MYWAY] in your title to get my attention).

BTW, I am working on a replacement system for individuals -- and I sure could use some help. Please see, a work-in-process.
