You're welcome -- and since you left the door open I will continue the dialog.

You wrote:

I don't know what you mean by "you are blocking the full and open, non-controlled, discussion of the problem with your personally motivated solution." Do you mean that I'm using Twitter?

No Doc, Twitter is another story altogether -- let's deal with the blocking question for now.  Since you are a metaphor fan, try this:

You can't not possess both sides of a coin.

Another way of saying that you must deal with both sides of any two-sided discussion (or all sides of any multi-sided discussion). I acknowledge that you have different thoughts and opinions than I, and that is your right -- and I am willing to discuss our differences; however, you continue to ignore my thoughts and ideas, thus, for all practical purposes, you have blocked any discussion.

Let's continue the two-sided coin metaphor - you see the web as "open" while I see the web as  closed (not-open, the other side)-- you are a fan of "linking", while I see linking as selective non-blocking (the other side).

The point is -- you may be angry with the opposition (the other side); however, you can't continue to avoid dealing with opposing opinions -- that just makes people more angry -- we live in a Democracy where differences are negotiated as best as possible and finally settled by taking a vote.

The web, as we know it, is in deep trouble because the power that controls it refuses to accommodate the thoughts and ideas of a large group of people -- and you and your buddy are a big part of that problem, IMHO.

We have a lot of angry people in this country and around the world as a result of mishandling of the PC/Internet, creating a giant bubble -- when and how that bubble will burst is anybodies guess. If nothing else, the 2016 election is bound to be a lulu -- and you are right in the middle!!

To be continued (of course)

I don't provide for comments since that is a system designed to control the communication process -- I do provide an e-mail address!! (Please put a [MYWAY] in your title to get my attention).

BTW, I am working on a replacement system -- and I sure could use some help.
