If I Had My Way
One Man's Opinion -- for what it's worth.

Subject: 2015019 - I am a Person, an Individual...

The Declaration of Independence uses the phrase, "all Men are created equal..." The Constitution of the United States uses the phrase, "We the People of the United States..." and the phrase, "No person shall be held..." And Abraham Lincoln, in his Gettysburg Address used the phrase, "of the people, by the people, and for the people..."

I would suggest that the term "Men" was a mistake -- and indicative that those old documents need some revision since "Men" is a sexual term. Yet "People" doesn't seem to fit, so how about "Persons," or "Individuals"?

The point being that the government must treat all persons as equals, while persons must treat other persons as individuals. That's what a Democracy is all about.

I make that point since we have a number of problems in the world, because a large number of persons refuse to conduct themselves accordantly. Obviously, some of those persons live in non-democratic governments -- so let's get back to the good old US of A.

Bernie Sanders, the so-called "Socialist," has gotten a great start in his campaign to be President, and is moving into a more organized mode.

We made a bit of history last night in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ten thousand people showed up at an event of ours - that's more people who have come together for a presidential campaign event than any other candidate has had in 2015.

This is important.

It's important because despite what the media would have you think, politics is not a game or a soap opera. Politics is ultimately about people coming together to improve the lives of all Americans, and not just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors.

And on July 29th, I am asking Americans from across the country to come together for a series of conversations about how we can organize an unprecedented grassroots movement that takes on the greed of Wall Street and the billionaire class.

Add your name and let me know if you're interested in hosting or attending an organizing meeting for our campaign on July 29th, and we'll be in touch with more information early next week.

I answered Bernie's request to "add my name" -- however, I fear for Bernie's campaign. He doesn't need "hosting or attending" -- he needs good, old fashioned conversation between individuals (or persons) capable of voting. And, he certainly does not need any kind of "grassroots movement" of the type described. He needs persons willing to participate in an educational program aimed at deciding which candidates deserve each person's vote in the 2016 Presidential Election. There is a whole lot of difference -- we are now living in the 21st century -- we have communication capability never known before. Those greedy people Bernie refers to would just as soon the rest of the world remain ignorant.

And that is why I repeat,

"I am a Person, an Individual -- Please treat me as such!!"

May we communicate, Bernie??

To be continued (of course)

I don't provide for comments since that is a system designed to control the communication process -- I do provide an e-mail address!! (Please put a [MYWAY] in your title to get my attention).

BTW, I am working on a replacement system for individuals -- and I sure could use some help. Please see, a work-in-process.
