Subject: 2015017 - Nerd Prom Is a Mess...

With all due Respect, Jay, I beg to differ --
and I quote from your Politico reference:

Even those who enjoy it tend to concede that the week is a circus. "It's kind of a mess," admitted Sirius-XM radio host Julie Mason.

Can it be improved? I'm not optimistic. The momentum is working against any meaningful reform as, each year, the event grows in size and scope; over the last decade, Hollywood's attraction to Washington (and vice versa) has given the party sprawl ever more momentum. There's little reason to think the trend will be reversed.

But, for the sake of argument, here are the best and most reasonable ways to improve this event.

And Patrick Gavin proceeds to treat the symptom - The White House Correspondents Association Dinner is simply a symptom of a far more serious problem that has been more than adequately defined many times over -- see G. William Domhoff, "Who Rules America - Power in America" as one example.

I, personally believe that we need to start a movement to educate the voters in order to change the Power Structure; however, that is one man's opinion -- nowhere near enough to start a movement. The Internet is the vehicle for creating that movement; however, some reprogramming will be necessary -- Twitter and Facebook are NOT the answer -- they are diversions created to keep the voters otherwise occupied.

To be continued (of course)

I don't provide for comments since that is a system designed to control the communication process -- I do provide an e-mail address!! (Please put a [MYWAY] in your title to get my attention).

BTW, I am working on a replacement system -- and I sure could use some help.
